Atividades diárias realizadas pelas pessoas com doença pulmonar intersticial: em busca da otimização dos resultados de fisioterapia

Abstract
Introdução e objetivos: A fisioterapia melhora o estado funcional e a qualidade de vida das pessoas com doença pulmonar intersticial (DPI). Contudo, estes benefícios nem sempre se transpõem para o dia-a-dia, possivelmente devido ao desconhecimento das atividades diárias que são realizadas e respetivas limitações. Este estudo descreveu as atividades de autocuidado, produtividade e lazer realizadas com maior frequência por pessoas com DPI, identificou as cinco atividades de maior dificuldade e quantificou essa dificuldade. Materiais e Métodos: Realizou-se um estudo transversal em pessoas com DPI estáveis clinicamente. Identificou-se as atividades de autocuidado (cuidados pessoais, mobilidade funcional e independência fora de casa), produtivas (trabalho ou voluntariado, tarefas domésticas e brincar) e de lazer (recreação tranquila, recreação ativa e socialização) realizadas com maior frequência através da Canadian Occupational Performance Measure. Identificou-se as 5 atividades que as pessoas apresentavam maior dificuldade e quantificou-se essa dificuldade numa escala numérica (0–10). Resultados: Participaram 41 pessoas com DPI (65±13 anos; 24[59%] mulheres; FEV1pp= 86±21; FVCpp=86±19; DLCOpp=51±18). As atividades mais frequentemente realizadas foram AUTOCUIDADO: tomar banho e vestir (n=41;100%), higiene pessoal (n=40;97,5%), subir escadas (n=37;90,2%), entrar e sair da banheira (n=31;75,6%) ou do carro (n=26;63,4%), ir às compras (n=37;90,2%), gerir as finanças (n=33;80,5%) e conduzir um carro (n=30;73,2%); PRODUTIVAS: cozinhar (n=24;58,5%), aspirar (n=23;56,1%) e lavar a louça (n=19;46,3%); e LAZER: ver televisão (n=39;95,1%), caminhar (n=30;73,2%), fazer telefonemas (n=40;97,5%), visitar familiares (n=40;97,5%) e conversar com amigos (n=20;48,8%). As atividades de maior dificuldade reportadas foram caminhar (n=32;78% 6,1±1,9/10), subir escadas (n=28;68,3% 6,5±1,6/10), aspirar (n=16;39% 7,4±1/10), tomar banho (n=11;26,8% 6±2,1/10) e preparar refeições (n=8;19,5% 5,8±2,9/10). Conclusões: As atividades diárias realizadas com maior frequência e dificuldade pelas pessoas com DPI foram estabelecidas e poderão informar intervenções de fisioterapia centradas na pessoa.
