L’objectif de ce travail de recherche était de développer une intervention universelle en conscience morphologique qui tienne compte des caractéristiques des élèves allophones en difficulté d’apprentissage, en classe ordinaire de troisième secondaire, afin d’améliorer leurs performances en production de mots écrits. L’expérimentation s’est déroulée dans une école au nord-est de Montréal durant cinq semaines. Pour mesurer les effets de l’intervention, la participation d’un groupe contrôle et d’un groupe expérimental a été sollicitée pour comparer les performances aux épreuves de prétest et de postest. Une épreuve de conscience morphologique ainsi qu’une épreuve de production de mots écrits ont été développées. Les résultats des analyses de variance (ANOVA) à mesures répétées montrent que l’intervention a amélioré de manière significative les performances en conscience morphologique et la production de mots écrits pour le groupe expérimental. L’analyse qualitative permet d’approfondir la compréhension des résultats. La conclusion présente une interprétation des résultats du programme d’intervention.
