Le trouble bipolaire est une condition chronique avec des conséquences tangibles sur l'individu atteint. La pharmacothérapie est le traitement de première ligne, mais est à elle seule insuffisante. Pour pallier à ce problème, des interventions psychologiques sont reconnues comme efficaces, notamment la psychoéducation qui présente plusieurs avantages. Toutefois, la clientèle atteinte d'un trouble bipolaire semble ne pas avoir facilement accès à ces programmes. Il semblerait que le transfert des connaissances acquises dans la recherche vers le milieu clinique pose un défi. Ainsi, au-delà de traitements efficaces tels qu'évalués en recherche, il est nécessaire de considérer l'implantation de ces traitements dans la pratique clinique. L'objectif de la présente étude est donc d'observer et de décrire l'implantation d'un programme psychoéducatif, le Life Goals Program (LGP), à l'intérieur de milieux cliniques québécois. Dix-sept groupes de psychoéducation basés sur le LGP ont donc été offerts. Les intervenants de ces groupes ont rempli des journaux de bord et participé à une entrevue de groupe. Les données quantitatives ont fait l'objet d'analyses pour former un portrait descriptif de l'implantation du programme. Ensuite, des analyses de contenu ont été réalisées pour (1) documenter la mise en place du LGP et (2) évaluer la satisfaction des intervenants à l'égard du programme. L'analyse des données qualitatives a permis d'identifier quatre grands domaines de facteurs qui pourraient être tributaires de la variabilité dans l'implantation : les caractéristiques des intervenants, les caractéristiques des participants, le contexte organisationnel et la facilitation. Les facteurs déterminants quant aux différences observées semblent être le soutien de l'équipe de recherche, le roulement de personnel et la formation des intervenants. La satisfaction des intervenants a également été évaluée et trois catégories ont émergé et indiquent les améliorations pouvant être apportées, notamment sur le contenu, sur la gestion du groupe et par rapport aux participants.
