Evaluación de dietas con harina de pescado alternativas del alimento SKRETTING en Clarias gariepinus (Burchell, 1822).

Abstract
Se evaluaron dos dietas con 25 % y 35 % de harina de pescado, como única fuente de proteína animal, alternativas de los alimentos SKRETTING ME - 2 mm y ME - 3 mm Catfish Start que se emplean en la preceba (10,0-150,0 g de peso medio) de Clarias gariepinus en cultivos intensivos. La digestibilidad in vivo de las dietas se determinó con óxido crómico III como marcador inerte y en tanques plásticos adaptados con un sistema Guelph para la recolección de las heces fecales en una columna de decantación. Para la evaluación biológica se utilizaron 225 alevines de 10,08 ± 0,05 g de peso medio distribuidos según modelo de clasificación simple en tres tratamientos triplicados. Las digestibilidades totales (70,13 %, 72,6 % y 81,8 %) y de las proteínas (78,06 %, 81,33 % y 86,7 %) fueron mayores para el alimento SKRETTING y similares entre las dietas experimentales. La supervivencia fue alta en todos los tratamientos (mayor que 95 %). No se encontraron diferencias estadísticas en los pesos finales (71,82 g, 74,81 g y 71,9 g), proteína suministrada por animal (25,54 g, 25,91 g y 24,0 g) y eficiencia proteica (2,28, 2,36 y 2,33); sin embargo, el alimento suministrado por animal (71,57 g, 62,03 g y 48,95 g) y el factor de conversión alimentario (1,24, 1,04 y 0,87) se afectaron (p < 0,05) para las dietas experimentales por el ajuste de la tasa de alimentación que se realizó. El análisis económico arrojó ahorros de USD $ 302,3 y 305,3 por tonelada de pescado fresco con las dietas experimentales respecto al control.
