Abstract
Ce travail porte sur le dialogue interculturel. Notre étude vise essentiellement à questionner son implémentation par la danse contemporaine sur la scène montréalaise. Dans un contexte montréalais, mondialement reconnu comme l’exemple de l’interculturalité, il s’est agi d’analyser sur la scène de la danse la question interculturelle. À ce titre, nous avons analysé douze performances produites par trois compagnies de danse de Montréal. L’objectif visé était de mettre en avant la manière dont l’interculturalité se déploie à travers trois dimensions : la technique, l’esthétique et la distribution artistique. Cela a permis de voir en quoi la danse contemporaine telle que pratiquée à Montréal est un incitatif au dialogue, aux échanges et aux croisements de cultures. Ce mémoire mobilise les approches interculturelles pour expliquer la prise en compte de l’altérité dans l’art chorégraphique au regard des vocabulaires d’hybridation qui s’y développent.
