Dit rapport vormt de Nederlandse bijdrage aan het Pilot Project van het Bestrijdingsmiddelen programma van de OECD. Nederland heeft als "lead Country" gefungeerd voor de actieve stof pyridaat om een vergelijking te maken van de evaluaties van zes deelnemende landen, namelijk Australie, Canada, Duitsland, Zwitserland, de Verenigde Staten en Nederland. De lay-out van de samenvattingen werd met elkaar vergeleken, waarbij werd aangetoond dat van alle landen alleen Nederland alle individuele studies op toxicologisch en ecotoxicologisch gebied apart samenvat. Van alle referentis van alle landen samen bleken slechts 61 van de in totaal 372 referenties beoordeeld te zijn door twee of meer landen. Van de gemeenschappelijke studies stelden de betrokken landen wel steeds hetzelfde eindpunt vast. Slechts voor enkele studies werden verschillende gedrag en effect gegevens gerapporteerd. In alle gevallen waren de verschillen slechts klein. Geconcludeerd kan worden dat het voor andere landen mogelijk moet zijn de samenvattingen en evaluaties van andere landen te gebruiken voor de vaststelling van hun eigen beoordeling van de actieve stof. Standaardisatie bleek voor diverse onderwerpen belangrijk te zijn.
