È Roland Barthes in Miti d’oggi a sottolineare come «i giocattoli più diffusi sono essenzialmente un microcosmo adulto [...] come se agli occhi del pubblico il bambino non fosse insomma che un uomo più piccolo, un homunculus a cui bisogna fornire oggetti sulla sua misura» (Barthes, 1966, p. 53). È su tali posizioni che il contributo proposto intende presentare risultati di una ricerca d’archivio presso il Canadian Centre for Architecture (Cca) di Montréal articolata a partire dalla Collection of Architectural Toys and Games, e dall’incrocio possibile, poiché anche cronologicamente complanare, con il numero 32 della rivista ‘Rassegna’, elaborato per discutere interpretazioni parallele tra giocattolo e modello.
\nL’intenzione è quella di verificare attraverso le case-giocattolo metodi e azioni tali che possano divenire risorsa e condizione per un nuovo progetto domestico che, come prefigurato nella Casa Madre di Andrea Branzi, per mezzo di una teoria, possa costruire architetture potenziali aggiornando dati di realtà e condizioni specifiche di relazione fra le parti, restituendo prove progettuali vive.
