Guida alla somministrazione sicura di farmaci endove-nosi è un testo semplice e pratico utile nella gestione della terapia farmacologica soprattutto nella fase di preparazione e somministrazione dei farmaci per via endovenosa. Pensato soprattutto per tutti quei Professionisti della Salute (infermieri, medici, anestesisti, rianimatori, ecc.) che in situazioni di emergenza/urgenza o in reparti critici (rianimazioni e/o terapie intensive) si trovano a dover gestire farmaci particolari come quelli endovenosi. Pertanto, l’opera ha un indirizzo estremamente concreto, basato da un lato sulla conoscenza farmacologica quotidiana, dall’altro su procedure, linee guida e raccomandazioni provenienti dalle più recenti e più importanti evidenze scientifiche prodotte da autorevoli organismi nazionali e internazionali come il Centro Studi EBN del “S. Orsola-Malpighi” di Bologna, il Joanna Briggs Institute, Istituto australiano che si occupa di redigere e diffondere le migliori pratiche nell'infermieristica, la RNAO (Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario), i CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) di Atlanta e le Raccomandazioni del Ministero della Salute. Ogni capitolo include un box denominato linee guida e raccomandazioni che sintetizza la migliore pratica in ambito clinico/farmacologico. Vari box evidenziati in grigio sono presenti nel testo per enfatizzare l’importanza e le modalità che possono garantire una gestione sicura del farmaco EV. È stata realizzata anche un’applicazione per Android, scaricabile e gratuita per il calcolo dei dosaggi dei far-maci d’emergenza/urgenza per infusione continua. L’intento di questo libro è quello di aiutare i Professio-nisti della Salute a comprendere la buona pratica clini-ca al fine di evitare situazioni potenzialmente rischiose per il paziente, descrivendo le azioni operative corrette in base alle conoscenze attuali e identificando così l’assistenza responsabile di cui tutti i professionisti sanitari devo rendere conto.
