Abstract

-- \nABSTRACT : The arrival of a child disrupts the lives of parents who adapt to the new reality of life. In recent years, Quebec's parental insurance system has allowed parents to look after their newborn while enjoying an income. Historically, the woman stayed at home to care for the children, while the man worked to generate the funds necessary for the household's economic survival. However, in recent years, men have become increasingly involved in the education of their child and access more parental leave. The main objective of this study is to describe and understand fathers' perception of the influence of organizational culture on parental leave. To do so, semi-structured interviews with eight fathers who took parental leave were conducted. Participants were fathers who returned to work following parental leave. The results obtained showed that parental leave taken by fathers is influenced by many organizational factors, including the type of employment of participants, working conditions, measures put in place for work-family balance, proximity to members of the organization, and traditions within the organization with respect to taking parental leave. Thus, the organizational culture influences the parental leave taken by fathers. Besides the organizational factors, individual factors, such as the family situation of parents influence the parental leave taken by fathers. This research contributes to the development of scientific knowledge by examining an increasingly common reality, yet little studied to date, namely the taking of parental leave by fathers. The results will allow organizations and managers to adapt management practices to provide more inclusive measures in the workplace, which improve employee retention and the attraction of new talent. They also give policy-makers and government bodies a better understanding of the factors influencing fathers' take-up of parental leave. -- Mot(s) clé(s) en anglais : parental leave, organizational culture, fathers, organizational influence, subculture, work-family balance, Quebec parental insurance plan.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
