Abstract
La première partie de cette communication porte sur l’étude critique des manuels scolaires d’histoire du Québec-Canada destinés aux élèves de troisième secondaire et publiés depuis la parution du nouveau programme du deuxième degré, en 2016. Quelle part ces manuels font-ils aux liens entre passé et présent, à la problématisation des savoirs et à l’apprentissage de la méthode historienne ? Quelle place laissent-ils à la construction, par l’élève, de ses connaissances ? Cette analyse prendra appui sur le concept de manuel scolaire Resources for Learning Textbook (Jadoulle, 2005) qui a servi de base à l’élaboration de plusieurs collections de manuels scolaires en Belgique francophone (Jadoulle et Georges [éds], 1ère éd., 2005-2008 ; nouv. éd., 2014-2016 ; Jadoulle et Hasquin [éds], 2008-2012 ; Jadoulle [éd.], 2010-2012 & Jadoulle [éd.], 2015-2016). \nCe concept constitue aussi le cadre théorique qui soutient l’élaboration d’un prototype de manuels d’histoire du Québec-Canada actuellement en cours à l’Université de Montréal. Ce prototype se distingue tant par son architecture que par ses modalités d’élaboration. Celles-ci sont inspirées de la « conception continuée dans l’usage » déjà expérimentée par Goigoux (2017). La deuxième partie de la communication présente tant l’architecture particulière que les modalités de l’élaboration de ce prototype.
