Die Fähigkeit zur Medienkritik gewinnt aufgrund der zunehmenden Digitalisierung immer mehr an Bedeutung. Besonders Jugendliche sehen sich mit Unmengen an Informationen und Eindrücken aus digitalen Medien konfrontiert. Die Fähigkeit diese kritisch zu hinterfragen und sich selbstständig eine Meinung darüber zu bilden, ist ein wesentliches Element der Medienkritikfähigkeit. Die Schule hat die elementare Aufgabe die SchülerInnen beim Erwerb der notwendigen Fähigkeiten entsprechend zu fördern. Den Lehrpersonen stehen dabei aber kaum wissenschaftlich erprobte Lehrmaterialen zur Verfügung, die entsprechend in den Unterricht integriert werden können. Die vorliegende wissenschaftliche Forschung hat zum Ziel sowohl Lehrpersonen als auch anderen Interessierten eine komplette Unterrichtsplanung zu bieten, deren Einsatz eine statistisch signifikante Verbesserung der Medienkritikfähigkeit ermöglicht.
