Abstract
Met zijn 68 kindvriendelijke kaarten is deze basisatlas een onmisbare tool tijdens de lessen wereldoriëntatie. De kaarten werden op een overzichtelijke manier onderverdeeld in drie groepen: België, Europa en de wereld. Binnen die drie groepen werden de kaarten thematisch geordend, zodat ze via de eveneens thematisch opgebouwde inhoudstafel gemakkelijk terug te vinden zijn. Door deze thematische indeling ontdekken de leerlingen verbanden tussen verschillende onderwerpen die in de lessen wereldoriëntatie aan bod komen. Deze basisatlas biedt leerlingen bovendien ruime kansen om aan hun kaartvaardigheid te werken. Een beknopt stappenplan leert hun hoe ze met Mijn Schoolatlas aan de slag kunnen gaan. Zo leren ze werken met het register, de schaalaanduidingen, de pictogrammen, de legendes … De kaarten werden aantrekkelijk en gedetailleerd vormgegeven met duidelijke omschrijvingen en legendes. Een team van pedagogen, specialisten en leerkrachten staat borg voor de correctheid en de didactische aanpak. Extra in deze atlas: satellietfoto’s van België en van de wereld, en een afbeelding van ons zonnestelsel.
