Planeamento de uma Reserva para a coleção de pintura do artista Ângelo de Sousa

Abstract
Este trabalho teve como principal objetivo o planeamento da nova reserva de pintura do artista Ângelo de Sousa. A nova reserva para esta coleção teve início numa proposta inicial do Núcleo de Estudos de Ângelo de Sousa (NEÂdS) e do Departamento de Conservação e Restauro (DCR) da NOVA School of Science and Technology. Iniciou-se o trabalho com uma atualização do inventário do espólio de pintura existente, de forma a conhecer o número de obras, tipologia e suas dimensões. Posto isto, foram realizadas diversas plantas do espaço no qual seria instalada a reserva de pintura. Com estas plantas, foi possível estudar como poderiam ser acondicionadas estas obras, sendo que, a grande maioria da coleção deverá ser colocada na vertical com a ajuda de um sistema de grades de arame deslizantes. Um dos desafios deste trabalho consistiu em saber se seria possível acondicionar todas as obras da coleção de pintura nesta nova reserva, cujo número total contabilizado até ao momento era de 257 pinturas, encontrando-se 241 em reserva. Das 257 pinturas, 42 são de grandes dimensões. Outro dos desafios foi determinar qual a forma mais apropriada de acondicionar as pinturas em suporte de platex sem moldura. Foram ainda determinados os principais agentes de deterioração que poderão afetar estas pinturas em reserva, tanto na reserva atual como na nova reserva, sendo mencionadas as possíveis estratégias de mitigação para estes agentes. Finalmente, fazem-se propostas de investigações futuras.
