Latar Belakang: Dalam pembangunan akan kesadaran kesehatan untuk mendapatkan derajat kesehatan yang optimal, maka diperlukan kemauan dan kemampuan akan kesehatan bagi setiap penduduk. Kesehatan yang optimal merupakan suatu keadaan sejatera untuk raga, jiwa dan sosial yang memungkinkan individu hidup produktif secara sosial maupun ekonomi. Namun ada masa dimana individu itu secara perlahan akan mengalami penurunan kemampuan untuk hidup produktif dan masa itu dikatakan lansia. Dan masa lansia merupakan salah satu faktor terjadinya berbagai macam penyakit salah satunya adalah risiko terjadi osteoarthritis (OA).Tujuan:Untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan pengaruh penambahan kinesio tapping pada latihan isometric quadriceps terhadap peningkatan kemampuan fungsional padaosteoarthhritis(OA) lutut. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Eksperimentaldengan pre dan post test two group design. Sampel penelitian ini pasien yang mengalami osteoarthritis di Posyandu Lansia Ponowaren dimana kelompok eksperimen 1 diberikan perlakuan latihan isometric quadriceps dan kelompok eksperimen 2 diberikan perlakuan kinesio taping dan latihan isometric quadriceps. Intervensi dilakukan selama 2 minggu dengan frekuensi latihan 3 kali seminggu. Alat ukur pada penelitian ini adalah Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis (WOMAC) index. Hasil: Hasil uji hipotesis I menggunakan paired samples t-test diperoleh nilai p : 0,001 (p<0,05). Hasil uji hipotesis II menggunakan paired samples t-test diperoleh nilai p : 0,000 (p<0,05). Dan hasil uji hipotesis III menggunakan independent sample t-test diperoleh nilai p :0,023 (p<0,05). Kesimpulan: Adaperbedaan pengaruh penambahan kinesio taping pada latihan isometrik quadriceps terhadap peningkatan kemampuan fungsional pada penderita Osteoarthritis lutut. Saran: Bagi peneliti selanjutnya disarankan untuk melakukan studyterhadap factor-factorlain yang mempengaruhi peningkatan kemampuan fungsional pada osteoathritis untuk hasil yang lebih komprehensip.
