\nLatar Belakang : Aktivitas fisik yang kurang ditambah dengan kelebihan berat 
\nbadan berpotensi menimbulkan pembebanan sendi yang semakin besar, khususnya
\npada sendi lutut. Kondisi ini akan bertambah parah bila terjadi pada usia lanjut,
\ndimana telah terjadi perubahan hormonal yang memicu percepatan proses degenerasi
\nstruktur persendian. Degenerasi sendi ini merupakan salah satu manifestasi klinis
\ndari penyakit osteoarthritis. Tujuan : Mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan pengaruh
\npenambahan latihan isotonic quadriceps pada ultrasound terhadap peningkatan 
\nkemampuan fungsional penderita osteoarthritis knee. Metode : Menggunakan
\nmetode Eksperiment, yang menggunakan desain penelitian two group pre-test posttest

\npenambahan latihan isotonic quadriceps dan ultrasound. Subyek
\npenelitian ini adalah penderita yang memiliki keluhan Osteoarthritis knee yang
\ndipilih menggunakan tehnik Random. Intervensi ultrasound dilakukan selama 10
\nmenit, dilakukan 2 kali perminggu selama 3 minggu sedangkan intervensi isotonic
\nquadriceps dilakukan 3 kali perminggu selama 2 minggu. Alat ukur pada penelitian
\nini adalah Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis (WOMAC)
\nindex. Hasil : Hasil uji hipotesis I menggunakan paired samples t-test diperoleh nilai
\np : 0,001 (p<0,05). Hasil uji hipotesis II menggunakan paired samples t-test
\ndiperoleh nilai p : 0,000 (p<0,05). Dan hasil uji hipotesis III menggunakan
\nindependent sample t-test diperoleh nilai p : 0,000 (p<0,05). Kesimpulan : Terdapat
\nperbedaan pengaruh antara penambahan latihan isotonic quadriceps pada ultrasound
\nterhadap peingkatan kemampuan peningkatan kemampuan fungsional penderita
\nosteoarthritis knee. Saran : Di sarankan untuk menambah jumlah responden dan
\nmemperpanjang waktu penelitian, sehingga dapat diketahui keefektifitasan dari
\nultrasound dan latihan isotonic quadriceps.
