Abstract
Il progetto per le scenografie e gli allestimenti alla Villa dei Quintili del Dipartimento di Architettura e Progetto diretto dalla prof.ssa Alessandra Capuano, ideato dai dottorandi Sara R. Ahmed, Wei Chen, Alberta Piselli sotto la direzione di Federica Morgia e Alfonso Giancotti è stato realizzato nell’ambito del "DANCE SCREEN IN THE LAND. Festival di danza, arte e video tra natura, archeologia e web. Pensando ad Antonio Canova" andato in scena dal 14 al 18 settembre 2022 presso il Ninfeo della Villa dei Quintili nel Parco Archeologico dell’Appia Antica. Il progetto, promosso da Roma Capitale - Assessorato alla Cultura, è vincitore dell'Avviso Pubblico "Estate Romana 2022 - Riaccendiamo la Città, Insieme" curato dal Dipartimento Attività Culturali ed è realizzato in collaborazione con SIAE ed è stato organizzato dall’Associazione Canova22. Dancescreen è un progetto triennale sostenuto dal Ministero delle Cultura, per la direzione artistica di Fiorenza d'Alessandro in collaborazione con Franz Prati, Laura Fusco, Luca Molinari. L’allestimento al Ninfeo dei Quintili consiste nell’allestimento del palcoscenico e nella realizzazione di pedane in legno, a diverse altezze. Le pedane ospitano circa 90 spettatori disposti in file di sedie distanziate ma anche in maniera libera e informale per consentire al pubblico di scegliere il punto di vista spostando la sedia a proprio piacimento. Un insieme di rampe e scale, in legno e metallo, consente ai danzatori di accedere al palco ma anche di utilizzare le pedane per ulteriori performance. Un sistema modulare metallico al quale sono fissate strisce di tessuto rosso compone, assumendo diverse forme, gli elementi di servizio: biglietteria, camerini per gli artisti, schermature per i bagni.
