Abstract
Yhteisöllinen asuminen on usealle vielä käsitteenä vieras. Suuri osa ikäihmisistä asuu kotona ja koti onkin monelle tärkein osa jokapäiväistä elämää. Kotona halutaan asua mahdollisimman pitkään. Yhteisöllinen asuminen tarkoittaa ympärivuorokautisen hoivan ja oman kodin välimuotoa, jossa asukkailla on myös käytettävissä yhteisiä tiloja oman asunnon lisäksi. Näin seurustelu ja yhteinen tekeminen mahdollistuvat ja yhteisöllisyys lisääntyy. Yhteisöllinen asuminen voi sisältää palveluita, kuten kotihoitoa tai muita tukipalveluita omaan vuokra-asuntoon tuotuna. Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli selvittää millaisena Wilhelmiina Tenholan asukkaat kokevat yhteisöllisyyden ja mikä merkitys sillä on heidän elämässään. Tutkimus toteutettiin yhteistyössä työelämäkumppanimme Miina Sillanpää- säätiön palveluasumista tarjoavan Wilhelmiina Tenholan kanssa. Wilhelmiina Tenhola on avannut ovensa keväällä 2023. Ensimmäiset asukkaat muuttivat uusiin yhteisöllisen asumisen koteihinsa kesäkuussa 2023. Wilhelmiina Tenholassa on 49 yhteisöllisen asumisen asuntoa. Haastattelimme keväällä 2024 kuutta Tenholan asukasta. Tulosten mukaan yhteisöllinen asuminen oli monelle vieras käsite, mutta haastatteluista ilmeni, että kaikki kokivat sen lopulta samalla tavalla. Sosiaalinen tuki, yhteisöllisyyttä tukeva toiminta, turvallisuus ja mahdollisuus vaikuttaa nousivat päällimmäisiksi ajatuksiksi yhteisöllisyydestä. Myös viihtyisät ja monipuoliset tilat koettiin tärkeinä elementteinä.
