A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo compreender como entenderam e reagiram, perante o projeto de Reforma do Ensino Médio (2016), dois movimentos em campos políticos distintos: o Movimento Brasil Livre (MBL) e o movimento secundarista autônomo, comparando, assim, seus projetos educacionais. Para isso, articulamos três eixos: I. Polarização política, especialmente após junho de 2013; II. Análise sobre a Reforma do Ensino Médio; III. Projetos educacionais dos secundaristas e MBL em disputa. Através das entrevistas semi-estruturadas (COMBESSIE, 2004), análise de contéudo (BARDIN, 2011) e análise documental (CELLARD, 2012), mostramos que o projeto educacional do MBL, incluindo a defesa da reformulação do ensino médio, defende a concepção da escola como uma empresa (LAVAL, 2019), entendendo o neoliberalismo não só como projeto de gestão do Estado capitalista (GENTILI, 1999), mas também como gestão da subjetividade (DARDOT e LAVAL, 2015). O grupo atuou como contrapúblico ultraliberal (ROCHA, 2018), apoiado em uma rede de think tanks pró-mercado e aproveitando a Estrutura de Oportunidades Políticas (TARROW, 2009), em um contexto de organização dos aparelhos de difusão do liberalismo (CASIMIRO, 2018). Já os secundaristas consideram a educação como direito social a ser garantido pelo Estado, não só voltada para o mercado de trabalho, mas que possam desfrutar da arte, cultura, conhecimento, com respeito à diversidade e participação de toda a comunidade escolar (SANTOS e DICKMANN, 2019), reivindicando por uma escola mais plural e horizontal, em contraponto à uma instituição pautada pelo desempenho individual, controle e rigidez (GOULART; JACOMINI; ARAÚJO e SILVA, no prelo) - por tal razão não atrelam a Reforma do Ensino Médio aos problemas reais que viveram na escola pública. Suas falas indicam formas alternativas à capitalização da educação (KRAWCZIK, 2005), baseando-se na administração de professores, estudantes e outros trabalhadores educacionais, com críticas à noção de meritocracia, às parcerias público-privadas, às avaliações em larga escala e aos rankings educacionais. Portanto, trata-se de um processo de correlação de forças que têm projetos distintos para a educação pública (PERONI e SCHEIBE, 2017), que aparece não só na esfera institucional e no conflito entre fundações empresariais e instituições científicas, mas no interior das organizações estudantis que, como parte do modo de produção capitalista, estão em constante luta.
