Abstract
Der streng chonologisch angelegte Jahresrueckblick kommentiert jeweils Fernsehsendungen im oeffentlich-rechtlichen wie im privaten Rundfunk, die neue Formate darstellten, Trends widerspiegelten und/ oder medienpolitische Diskussionen ausloesten. Zur Hintergrundinformation werden ausserdem medienpolitische, -oekonomische oder -rechtliche Ereignisse eroertert und ihre moeglichen Auswirkungen auf die kuenftige Fernsehlandschaft diskutiert. Zu den positiven Ueberraschungen des Fernsehjahres zaehlte Kaya Yanar mit seiner SAT.1-Show 'Was guckst Du?', der zweiteilige Fernsehfilm 'Der Tunnel' auf SAT.1 oder der Dreiteiler 'Die Manns -Ein Jahrhundertroman' auf ARTE bzw. der ARD. Zu den Flops zaehtlen hingegen z.B. die Neuauflagen der Reality-Shows wie 'Girls Camp' (SAT.1) oder 'House of Love' (RTL), die gescheiterten Comebacks von Margarete Schreinemakers ('Big Diet', RTL II) und Juergen von der Lippe ('Blind Dinner', SAT.1) oder der peinliche 'Luder'-Auftritt in 'Wetten dass ...?'. Dominierendes Fernsehereignis des Jahres war aber zweifellos die Live-Berichterstatung ueber die Terroranschlaege auf New York vom 11. September. Hierbei verschwand fuer den Zuschauer gelegentlich die Grenze zwischen Realitaet und Fiktion, das Fernsehen erlebte eine makabere Sternstunde und erfuhr zugleich seine dramaturgischen Grenzen. (KB)
