Abstract
Ce guide traite de l’acceptabilité sociale en regard de la filière éolienne au Québec. Il s’adresse prioritairement aux élus municipaux. Il a été réalisé dans un contexte où la filière éolienne se développe rapidement en territoire québécois. Ce\ndéveloppement accéléré suscite tout un éventail de réactions allant de l’accord des acteurs concernés à l’opposition marquée. L’acceptabilité sociale en regard de l’éolien comprend plusieurs dimensions inter-reliées qui vous seront dévoilées ultérieurement. Elle est portée par des dynamiques sociales complexes. Aussi, avons-nous voulu préparer ce guide qui se veut un outil d’accompagnement pour les élus municipaux interpellés par la mise en place\nde la filière éolienne. Il ne s’agit pas d’un document ayant la prétention de détenir la vérité ou de fournir des recettes\ntoutes faites. Il s’agit plutôt d’un outil de travail s’appuyant rigoureusement sur une abondante documentation. Nous croyons qu’il pourra être utile avant tout aux élus et qu’il les aidera à prendre des décisions éclairées lorsqu’il est question de réfléchir à l’opportunité de développer la filière éolienne ou de procéder à l’implantation d’un parc éolien.
