Le tourisme mondial a évolué au fil des années, et une tendance émergente, le glamping, a capturé l'attention des voyageurs en quête d'aventure et de confort. En 2022 et selon l’organisme mondiale de tourisme (OMT), malgré les défis liés à la pandémie, les recettes du tourisme international ont atteint 1 031 milliards de dollars américains, représentant 64 % du niveau prépandémique (mesurés en terme réel). Cette évolution a été particulièrement marquante au Québec, où le tourisme durable s'est imposé comme une force motrice, favorisant une analyse approfondie des nouvelles tendances émergentes. Enraciné dans les principes du développement durable, le tourisme durable cherche à optimiser l'utilisation des ressources environnementales tout en respectant la richesse socioculturelle des communautés d'accueil. Au Québec, cette approche holistique du tourisme prend la forme du glamping, une fusion de glamour et de camping qui offre une expérience luxueuse en plein air. Ce mémoire vise à mieux connaitre les différentes dimensions du glamping, tout en examinant ses caractéristiques distinctives, son essor en tant que niche en croissance, et son impact sur le paysage touristique québécois. De la forte connexion avec la nature aux attentes de prestations de qualité, le glamping répond à une multitude de besoins des voyageurs modernes.
