Abstract
Ce mémoire est la synthèse d’une recherche-création autour d’une pratique périphérique de l’art, ayant rapport aux phénomènes sociopolitiques. Spécifiquement, ce projet reflète et éprouve une propension particulière pour les formes revendicatives des groupes marginalisés contre l’injustice, la corruption et les inégalités sociales en Ayiti. Il se développe, s’appuie sur le concept centre-périphérie. L’étude de celui-ci sert de point de départ pour le projet de recherche-création développé pour cette maîtrise. Ce projet de recherche-création cherche à impliquer le spectateur dans la création. Tout comme les manifestants peuvent modifier les barricades, la présence du regardeur et ses déplacements dynamisent et modifient l’installation dans son ensemble. Son implication permet de créer un effet immersif. D’une manière théorique, cela explique qu’il n’existe aucun centre sans la périphérie et vice versa.Tout compte fait, de 2019 à ce jour, ce projet de recherche-création transcende ma pratique antérieure dans sa plus minuscule partie. Cette nouvelle pratique, je la considère comme une nouvelle étape dans ma carrière artistique.
