del 1 al 3 de julio de 1981, una "Reunión Técnica sobre Terminología para el Desarrollo: el Macrothesaurus de la OCDE".Participo en dicha Reunión un destacado grupo de especialistas en información y en diversas áreas del campo socio-económico.Cada participante presentó un documento de trabajo sugiriendo las adiciones y cambios a introducir en la actual edición 1979 en español del Macrothesaurus, con la finalidad de contribuir con sus experiencias en el análisis de la literatura socio-económica latinoamericana, a la obtención de un instrumento de trabajo que represente adecuadamente las necesidades del desarrollo en la región.Debido a las numerosas sugerencias recibidas, que sobrepasaron todas nuestras expectativas, no fue posible discutir todos los campos semánticos, dado el escaso tiempo disponible.Por tal motivo, se decidió analizar prioritariamente aquellos campos que carecían mayores problemas, de acuerdo al numero de sugerencias recibidas.De acuerdo a lo convenido en la Reunión, se decidió que los descriptores de los campos semánticos no discutidos serían distribuidos posteriormente en un documento para su estudio y discusión.
