romanesque de Louis Lefebvre Louis Lefebvre, thologiste, professeur l'Universit McGill, dont les recherches portent avant tout sur le comportement animal1, se consacre aussi la littrature et aux arts visuels (il est notamment auteur de photographies et assemblages que l'on peut voir sur son site Internet).Pourtant, selon les dires mmes du chercheur, il ne relie pas ces deux champs d'activit : Je n'arrive pas m'intresser ce que la science dit sur les humains, confie-t-il.Pour moi, le monde de l'humain, c'est le monde de l'art (Vzina).Quant la littrature, il crit depuis sa jeunesse, tout d'abord des pomes.Mais c'est lors de son sjour la Barbade dans le cadre d'un stage scientifique, qu'il commence son aventure avec le roman.En 1990, il fait son entre sur la scne littraire qubcoise avec Le Collier d'Hurracan (Montral : Les Quinze), finaliste pour le Prix du Gouverneur gnral.Deux ans plus tard, Lefebvre publie Guanahani (Montral : Boral, 1992) qui suit les traces du premier roman.Il fait ensuite attendre ses lecteurs treize ans avant de publier en 2004 Table rase (Montral : Boral), et, l'anne suivante, Le troisime ange gauche (Montral : Boral).Les deux premiers romans ont dj t soumis l'analyse, notamment par Magnan et Morin, qui ont dmontr leurs traits postmodernes2.Nous nous proposons de suivre ce schma et de tracer quelques indices propres la totalit de l'oeuvre romanesque de Louis Lefebvre en les confrontant des moments postmodernes3.Il s'agit donc non pas de dmontrer ou de contester l'appartenance de son oeuvre au postmodernisme, mais de lire les romans en
