Abstract
A pesar de que el documental interactivo o webdocumental se produce desde hace años principalmente en países como Francia o Canadá, en España se encuentra aún en pleno desarrollo y auge. Existen ejemplos de ellos realizados por empresas nacionales, pero no son muchos los ciudadanos que saben de la existencia de los documentales interactivos. Este nuevo formato que parece potenciar el género documental tiene perspectivas de ser uno de los más adecuados para la sociedad tecnológica y virtual en la que vivimos hoy en día. En este trabajo, a partir de estudios sobre la cultura visual, se analizan los webdocumentales Catacombes (con una perspectiva cultural y de divulgación) y Points of view (que se podría catalogar como periodismo de denuncia) para explicar qué es un documental interactivo, cuáles son sus características y cómo hay que interactuar y navegar en la web para conocer todo su contenido. There are examples made by national companies but not many people are aware of their existence. This new format, that seems to strengthen documentary genre, has the potential to be one of the most appropriate for the present technological and virtual society in which we live. This work, through theories about visual culture, analyses the web documentaries Catacombes (in a cultural and informational view) and Points of view (that we could catalogue as complaint journalism) to explain what an interactive documentary is , which are its characteristics and how we should interact and navigate on the web to get to know all its content.
