Abstract
Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajana toimi Kokkolan Latu ry, joka on Suomen Ladun paikallinen jäsenyhdistys. Yhdistyksen toiminta-ajatuksena on edistää ulkoilua, liikuntaa ja retkeilyä. Yhdistys järjestää tapahtumia, antaa tietoa ja vinkkejä eri lajeihin liittyen sekä vuokraa retkeilyvälineitä ja mökkiviikkoja Lapista. Kokkolan Latu ry on perustettu vuonna 1953. \n \nOpinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli kuvata ulkoilun, liikunnan ja harrastamisen merkityksiä sekä saada tietää tekijöistä, jotka vaikuttavat tapahtumiin osallistumiseen. Tavoitteena oli tehdä kysely Kokkolan alueen lapsiperheille, jolla saadaan tietää heidän toiveitaan liittyen Kokkolan Ladun järjestämään toimintaan. \n \nTietoperustassa käsiteltiin järjestötoimintaa, osallisuutta, harrastamista, lapsiperheiden ulkoilua ja liikuntaa sekä tapahtumiin osallistumiseen vaikuttavia tekijöitä. Opinnäytetyössä käytettiin kvantitatiivista tutkimusmenetelmää, johon sisältyi kysely. Kysely toteutettiin Webropol-ohjelmalla. \n \nLapsiperheet toivovat yhdistyksen järjestävän matalan kynnyksen retkeilyyn ja monipuoliseen ulkoiluun liittyviä tapahtumia, joita markkinoidaan laajasti ja hyvissä ajoin ainakin Facebookissa, Kokkola-lehdessä ja Instagramissa. Paras aika järjestää tapahtumia on viikon-loppuisin aamupäivällä ennen pienten lasten päiväunia. Tapahtumien keston on hyvä olla yhdestä neljään tuntia, mutta osa vastaajista osallistuisi myös pidempiin tapahtumiin. Kyselyn tulosten perusteella Kokkolan Latu ry voi kehittää lapsiperheille järjestettävää toimintaa.
