L’idée qu’on se fait le plus souvent de la formation à distance repose sur une conception qualifiée d’industrielle où il s’agit de profiter des économies\nd’échelle pour réduire les coûts de formation et atteindre, de cette manière,\nun public plus large et plus diversifié.\nÀ cette approche, nous proposons une alternative qualifiée d’artisanale où\nil s’agit de rencontrer un public plus ciblé et de profiter des possibilités\naccrues d’interactions offertes par l’Internet pour mettre le tutorat au coeur\ndu dispositif.\nNous montrerons comment cette approche artisanale peut être mise en oeuvre\ndans la formation des maîtres en particulier dans les pays en développement\noù les besoins sont énormes aux niveaux tant quantitatifs que qualitatifs.
