« Les deux cent six grands arrêts de la Cour constitutionnelle que l’équipe dirigée par Charles-Éric Clesse a sélectionnés, analysés et commentés – avec une grande liberté de ton, ce qui n’est certainement pas une critique – fournissent les matériaux qui permettront de réaliser à tête reposée ce travail de synthèse en droit social. Ils contribueront aussi à faire sortir la jurisprudence de la Cour d’un domaine parfois réservé à ce que le coordonnateur des travaux appelle gentiment "une caste restreinte de juristes". Il faut se réjouir sans réserve de cette ouverture d’esprit ». Cet extrait de la préface de Francis Delpérée démontre l’intérêt et le caractère innovant de l’ouvrage rédigé par une équipe de spécialistes en droit social. Issus de la magistrature, de l’avocature, de la fonction publique, ils ont collecté et commenté les grands arrêts rendus par la Cour constitutionnelle en matière de droit social à l’aune de la doctrine récente et de la jurisprudence des cours nationales et supranationales. Ces commentaires permettent de replacer l’arrêt dans ses perspectives historique et prospectiviste, ce qui ravira le praticien du droit social.
