Abstract
Rendahnya perilaku perawatan diri pada penderita hipertensi menjadi penyebab tingginya kasus hipertensi di Indonesia. Salah satu upaya pemerintah dalam mengatasi hal tersebut adalah dengan melibatka peran remaja dalam membantu merawat anggota keluarga yang menderita hipertensi. Untuk mengoptimalkan perannya, maka remaja perlu memiliki pengetahuan yang baik. Pengetahuan tersebut dapat ditingkatkan melalui pemberian edukasi kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan dan peran remaja dalam perawatan diri penderita hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lubuk Buaya Kota Padang. Metode penelitian ini adalah Pre-Experimental dengan rancangan 0ne Group Pre-test Post-test Design. Teknik sampling menggunakan non- purposive sampling dengan sampel 28 responden. Analisis data menggunakan uji wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian terdapat pengaruh yang bermakna edukasi perawatan diri penderita hipertensi dengan pengetahuan remaja di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lubuk Buaya dengan nilai p value=0,000. Terdapat pengaruh yang bermakna edukasi perawatan diri penderita hipertensi dengan peran remaja di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lubuk Buaya dengan nilai p value=0,000. Setelah diberikan edukasi kesehatan mayoritas (96%) remaja memiliki pengetahuan baik dan tidak ada (0%) remaja yang memiliki pengetahuan rendah. Sebagian besar (57%) remaja memliki peran aktif, (43%) remaja memiliki peran cukup dan tidak ada (0%) remaja yang memiliki peran kurang. Saran untuk Puskesmas agar dapat memberikan edukasi kesehatan serupa secara berkelanjutan.
