Abstract
Os protocolos de amostragem de macroinvertebrados são ferramentas que garantem o controle de qualidade dos dados produzidos. No presente trabalho propõem-se um protocolo para amostragem de macroinvertebrados bentónicos adaptado a rios brasileiros de pequena e média dimenções. Foram realizados a seleção de 57 protocolos com base em publicações de referências de programas de monitoramento das principais iniciativas de biomonitorização de quatro continentes (da América do Norte, da Europa, América do Sul e da Oceania), baseados nas diretrizes emanadas de diferentes metodologias, nomeadamente: Diretiva do Quadro da Água 2000/60/CE; EPA, Environmental Protection Agency e; Canadian Aquatic Biomonitoring Network. Os resultados indicam que protocolo pode utilizar uma metodologia de amostragem baseada em fluxo com abordagem de amostragem de único ou multi-habitat em relação à assembleia de macroinvertebrados. As conclusões deste estudo guiarão as decisões sobre os métodos de amostragem mais apropriados para planos de amostragem de monitoramento; Sampling Protocol for Benthic Macroinvertebrates: Adaptation to the reality of Brazilian shallow rivers ABSTRACT: Macroinvertebrate sampling protocols are tools that guarantee the quality control of the data produced. This work proposes a protocol for sampling benthic macroinvertebrates adapted to small and medium sized Brazilian rivers. 57 protocols were selected based on publications of references for monitoring programs of the main biomonitoring initiatives on four continents (from North America, Europe, South America and Oceania), based on guidelines issued by different methodologies, namely: Water Framework Directive 2000/60 / EC; EPA, Environmental Protection Agency and; Canadian Aquatic Biomonitoring Network. The results indicate which protocol can use a flow-based sampling methodology with a single or multi-habitat sampling approach in relation to the macroinvertebrate assembly. The findings of this study will guide decisions on the most appropriate sampling methods for monitoring sampling plans.
