Abstract
Розглядається питання участі української громади Канади у політичному житті цієї країни в міжвоєнний період. У тезах проаналізовано труднощі, з якими стикалися українці при перших кроках активного політичного життя. Простежено різні форми їх політичної діяльності – від початків участі у загальному виборчому процесі нарівні з іншими громадянами країни, до активної діяльності у канадських політичних партіях. З’ясовано, що найбільшою популярністю серед українців користувалася Ліберальна партія. На основі поданого матеріалу визначено, що участь у політичному житті країни є одним із найважливіших критерії інтеграції іммігрантів у канадське суспільство. \n(The author examines the question of the participation of the Ukrainian community of Canada in the political life of this country in the period of interbellum. The article analyses difficulties, which the Ukrainians faced after having taken the first steps towards active political life. The work examines various forms of their political activity ranging from the participation in the general electoral process to the active representation in Canadian political parties. According to the research, the Liberal Party was the most popular among the Ukrainians. Finally, it is defined that the participation in the political life of the country is one of the most important criteria of the integration of immigrants into the Canadian society.)
