Abstract
[Resumen] Durante el bienio 2000/02, el Instituto Gallego de la Vivienda (IGVS) y el Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Galicia (COAG) firman el mayor Convenio para la Inspección Técnica de Edificios realizado en Galicia; suponía entonces el estudio un total de 778 edificios y 19.821 viviendas. Hasta ese momento el conocimiento sobre la patología real de la edificación residencial, y más específicamente la estructural, era totalmente inexistente en la comunidad gallega. Tampoco existía bibliografía que relacionase la evolución histórica de las exigencias normativas con su incidencia real en la disminución de la patología correspondiente. Por lo tanto, la originalidad de la presente tesis consiste en afrontar la investigación estadística sobre la patología en la edificación residencial gallega, confrontándola tanto con la evolución de la normativa como con los estudios similares existentes a nivel nacional e internacional. Dada la inabarcable extensión de los subsistemas constructivos del edificio, el cuerpo principal de la tesis se centra en la estructura y, las conclusiones, fundamentalmente en los forjados de hormigón armado, tras demostrarse previamente la elevada incidencia de los mismos en el cómputo de la patología edificatoria.
