Abstract
Este trabajo presenta el análisis de ciclo de vida de cuna a tumba y la modelación energética de un edificio de uso educativo en la cuidad de Bogotá de acuerdo a los lineamientos establecidos en la certificación Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) y en la normativa American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Diferentes estrategias de mejora se implementaron al proyecto para evaluar la reducción de impactos en la fase de construcción y la eficiencia energética y en el confort en la fase de operación. Los resultados de la simulación muestran que la medida que menor reducción en el consumo energético presenta es el uso de luminarias ahorradoras, mientras que en el análisis de ciclo de vida la mayor disminución se da en las alteraciones de los sistemas de producción y el transporte de los materiales con mayor volumen como el concreto. En cuanto al confort térmico se encontró que el aumento en el coeficiente de ganancia de calor (shgc) de 0.2 a 0.45 aumenta el porcentaje de horas en el rango de confort término en los espacios interiores de la estructura.
