À partir de la recherche en croisement des savoirs ÉQUIsanTÉ, menée à Montréal entre chercheures en santé, personnes en situation de pauvreté et professionnel.le.s de la santé, l’article (élaboré collectivement) explore quelques-unes des questions théoriques, épistémologiques et éthiques soulevées par ce mode alternatif de production de connaissances. Parmi les questions les plus débattues sur le plan méthodologique figurent la non-mixité partielle ainsi que le statut et le rôle des associations qui militent aux côtés des personnes en situation de pauvreté. Sur le plan épistémologique, nous avons également analysé la portée d’une telle démarche en matière de connaissances et ses effets en matière d’émancipation. L’article propose ainsi de contribuer au débat scientifique sur ce que l’on pourrait appeler une « épistémologie post-pauvreté », en écho aux épistémologies féministes et postcolonialistes.
