Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The Quetico metasedimentary subprovince and the volcanic-plutonic
\nShebandowan belt to the south meet along an east-west
\nsteeply dipping boundary that is believed to have been affected
\nby dextral transpressional deformation. It is also parallel to a
\nsteep metamorphic gradient from greenschist facies rocks to the
\nnorth.
\nMacroscopic petrofabrlcs are difficult to observe along
\nthe belt to the west of Thunder Bay but magnetic susceptibility
\nfabrics (low-field) are quite consistent. These define a gently
\nplunging extenslonal fabric parallel to the belt boundary.
\nWithin the Kashabowle area, general field observations of
\nsubhorizontal stretching (and intersection) lineations, and
\ncleavage directions are in agreement with magnetic susceptibility
\naxis directions. Mineral separation reveals that all samples
\nhave multiple sources of magnetic susceptibility, dominated by
\nmetamorphic phyllosilicates. Consequently it is not possible to
\nsimply quantitatively relate the magnetic fabrics to strain
\nmagnitudes although the magnetic fabrics accurately monitor
\nsignificant kinematic directions. Analyses of strain of
\nlow-grade detrital quartz grains, magnetic fabrics and general
\nfield observations recognize flattened oblate fabrics. Moreover
\noblique, subhorizontal lineations favour a transpresslve
\nkinematic model with compression normal to the belt boundary.
\nThe obliquity between mineral and magnetic lineations seem to
\nindicate dextral transpresslve deformation.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
