L’intégration des circuits d’excitation prend son importance lors de l’analyse des effets nonlinéaires de l’alternateur dans son environnement. Suivant les statistiques d’Hydro-Québec sur ses systèmes, le type d’excitation le plus répandu est statique. En effet, la plupart des alternateurs exploités par l’entreprise approchent tranquillement leur fin de vie utile et leur vieillissement est accéléré d’avantage par des phénomènes intrinsèquement liés à leur mode d’opération tel que échauffement des enroulements, vibrations d’origines électromagnétiques dues à la séquence de bobinage stator, défaut de court-circuit inter spires ou des barres, excentricité du stator ou du rotor pontage des bobine ou sectionnement des barres amortisseurs. \n \nL’originalité et le but de mon mémoire sont axés sur l’étude de l’excitatrice dans des cas réels. Ainsi, le premier volet sera de réaliser la modélisation par éléments finis de l’alternateur hydroélectrique La Grande 4 par intermédiaire du logiciel de calcul Ansoft MAXWELL en couplage avec les modes de fonctionnement de son système d’excitation en environnement réel. Le second volet sera de déterminer les mécanismes de défaillance spécifiques aux systèmes d’excitation suivant un arbre hiérarchique. Ce volet a pour but d’effectuer le diagnostic. La problématique de recherche à ce niveau s’est d’étudier l’impact des systèmes d’excitation dans le cas de défauts sur les modes de fonctionnement de l’alternateur.
