Abstract
O presente estudo tem como objetivo geral descrever como ocorre a apropriação dos espaços do Parque Germânia na cidade de Porto Alegre/RS pelos usuários. Os objetivos específicos são: a) Apontar qual a faixa etária e o sexo dos usuários do Parque Germânia; b) Verificar quais espaços são apropriados e que atividades físicas são desenvolvidas nesses locais; c) Averiguar se ocorre a utilização do Parque Germânia pelas escolas da rede pública. Os procedimentos metodológicos adotados foram, a revisão bibliográfica sobre o assunto, a observação dos usuários nos espaços do Parque Germânia nos finais de semana com tempo ensolarado. Registro no caderno de campo da faixa etária do usuário, não ocorrendo o apontamento do seu nome. Foi realizada uma pesquisa na região do número de escolas públicas, municipais ou estaduais localizadas numa distância de até 2 km do Parque Germânia. Foram observadas 732 pessoas praticando alguma atividade física. Caminhada foi a atividade mais praticada, seguida do futsal. A maioria dos praticantes são homens com faixa etária entre 19 e 29 anos. Foram localizadas nove escolas próximas ao parque e não foi confirmada a utilização do espaço do Parque Germânia para aulas ou trabalhos, seja para atividades físicas ou sociais.
