Ce travail de recherche porte sur l’estimation des effets des chocs de politique monétaire sur le rendement réel boursier des cinq marchés boursiers émergents du BRICS (Brésil, Russie, Inde, Chine et Afrique du Sud). Basé sur un modèle modifié des travaux de Bjørnland et Leitemo (2009), les objectifs de notre analyse sont l’estimation des effets de court terme et de long terme des chocs de politique monétaire sur la rentabilité boursière des BRICS et une comparaison des réponses instantanées et des amplitudes des rendements boursiers des marchés développés tels que le Canada et les États-Unis à ceux des marchés émergents des BRICS. Nous calculons les fonctions estimées des réponses à partir de deux modèles : un modèle vectoriel autorégressif sans mesure d’incertitude macroéconomique et un modèle vectoriel autorégressif avec mesure d’incertitude macroéconomique. Les résultats de ces deux modèles, appliqués à des données mensuelles des pays du BRICS et les pays développés tels que les États-Unis et le Canada, suggèrent une réaction initiale négative des rendements boursiers à la suite d’un choc structurel de politique monétaire restrictive. Ces réactions essentiellement négatives et significatives dans le court terme, disparaissent sur le long terme. L’ampleur des réponses des rendements boursiers va varier selon le modèle. En effet, les amplitudes des réponses des cours boursiers réels sur les marchés financiers des BRICS (excepté le Brésil) sont supérieures à celles des États-Unis et du Canada dans un modèle vectoriel autorégressif sans mesure d’incertitude macroéconomique. Dans un modèle intégrant une variable d’incertitude macroéconomique par contre, l’amplitude des réponses des cours réels des actions sur le marché boursier américain est nettement supérieure à celles des BRICS et du Canada. \n_____________________________________________________________________________ \nMOTS-CLÉS DE L’AUTEUR : politique monétaire, rendement boursier réel, marchés boursiers des BRICS, marchés boursiers développés, VAR structurel.
