Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

ERG Activity: ERG over about a ten year period excavated McIntyre and Hollinger tailings for reprocessing depositing the retreated tailings in a new (ERG) tailing site. The water sample collected in the first water body as one drives on the dam of the northern edge of the ERG tailings had a pH of 2.9, an acidity relatively low of 312 mg of CaCO 3 /l and a high conductivity of about 1874 uS/cm.The lake water was very clear, low iron stain on the shores and the shores were well vegetated. The southern half of the ERG tailings, which might discharge via ground water or surface water the Porcupine river .The southern half of the tailings appears to be vegetated with a relatively large water body close to the southern edge according to the aerial map provided by PD PJV.We did not investigate the southern portion of the ERG tailings area.If the effects of tailings in general is to be evaluated with respect to the water quality of the Porcupine river it should include the potential contribution of the ERG tailings. We understand that the ERG site is not one of the 27 sites for which the PD PJV is responsible for the effluent quality discharge.John Robertson ( MNDM) advised verbally that the south system was not of concern but evidence to this effect was not provided. The North half of the deposit has an extensive beach of saturated tailings along the centre road. This deposit is reported to carry pyrite.A large pond has formed almost the entire length of the north side of the tailing area. The deposit is large and square approximately 2 km x 2 km with north and south areas each being roughly 2 square kilometres in area. The locations within the McIntyre tailings are perhaps the most disturbed due to the ERG activities.Weathering products in the old tailings exposed by the ERG activity in the McIntyre would be expected to decline with time, or a gradual improvement in the seepage quality should be expected.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
