L’obiettivo principale di questo lavoro è la valutazione del comportamento da dolore o “Pain Behavior” di un campione di soggetti con dolore cronico da sindrome da fallimento chirurgico alla colonna o Failed Back Surgery Sindrome. Il Pain Behaviou è indagato mediante il questionario: “Multidimensional Pain Inventory, Obiettivo secondari è quello di indagare il grado di associazione del “pain behavior” con alcune variabili psicologiche e psicopatologicheIl campione è costituito da 77 pazienti, 26 maschi e 51 femmine con un età compresa tra i 36 anni e gli 81 anni. Lo studio osservazionale prevede un follow up ad 1 anno - Alla prima visita i dati clinico anamnestici vengono raccolti nella case report form (CRF) e sono stati somministratiil il Multidimensional Pain Inventory, il Questionario Italiano del Dolore, l’Edmonton Symptom Assessment System, l’ Illness Behaviour Questionnaire, la Toronto Alexitimia Scale , l’ Amplification Questionnaire e il Pain Disability Index oltre che una intervista clinica strutturata (MINI 5.0.0) per i disturbi psichiatrici maggiori , Al baseline inoltre vengono raccolte informazioni relative al temperamento secondo la classificazione di Akiskal, e alla valutazionedella soglia e della tolleranza attraverso la somministrazione del COLDPRESSURETEST. - iL FOLLOW UP A 1 anno dal trattamento viene svolto mediante la somministrazione di alcuni questionari che rappresentano le misure dell’esito del trattamento: Tali questionari sono: Questionario italiano del Dolore , l’Edmonton Symptom Assessment System e il Pain Dysability index. Dai nostri dati emerge che più della metà dei soggetti presenta un coping al dolore disfunzionale o pain behaviour. Non abbiamo trovate alcuna relazione tra presenza di pain behaviour, durata del dolore, sesso, età del soggetto, condizioni socioeconomiche. I soggetti con pain behavior mostrano nel nostro campione intensità del dolore maggiore e una maggiore disabilità dei soggetti senza pain behavior .
