Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This is an SDR wav file. (Not standard audio. You'll need appropriate software to hear these files, such as HD-SDR, available from https://www.hdsdr.de/) This was recorded on February 24th 2024 between 0647 and 0657 UTC on the medium wave broadcast band. This recordings was made using a Perseus SDR receiver fed with a 6.5m x 25m flag antenna with a Wellbrook Communications FLG100LN flag amplifier, aimed towards North America at 320 degrees from my location near Holbeach in the South Holland District of Lincolnshire. These files serve several purposes. Firstly, these are a record of the reception conditions at this particular time and while these files are primarily intended for DXers, radio amateurs and other radio enthusiasts, they also serve as a record of the radio stations on the air at the time, the programming, the presenters, advertising, news providers and jingles and so much more. The important factor in this file was the prevailing conditions. The west coast of Canada was received with CKNW Vancouver being heard on 980 kHz. Many other North American stations were also heard and it's possible that other west coast North American stations could also appear on this file. This is file 1 of 2. In view of the severe splatter on many of these frequencies I would like to keep these files available until such times that technology may have the ability to remove co-channel and adjacent channel splatter and interference, as are currently being tested with software like SDR#, available at https://airspy.com/download/. It is hoped that much more will heard in these recordings which is not possible at the time of uploading.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
