Reabilitação cognitiva em idosas: módulos integrados de treino cognitivo, psicoterapia positiva e terapia de reminiscência

Abstract
O envelhecimento saudável, entendido como um processo dinâmico, envolve o declínio mental das funções cognitivas, em particular da atenção e memória, estendendo-se às funções executivas. Este estudo teve como objetivo geral, avaliar o efeito do programa quanto ao desempenho cognitivo, percebendo se os módulos promoveriam melhores resultados do que o treino cognitivo simples, no grupo experimental. Como objetivos específicos, esperava-se encontrar neste grupo, uma maior satisfação com a vida e a diminuição da sintomatologia depressiva e ansiosa. A reabilitação cognitiva apresentada neste desenho, combina o treino cognitivo simples, aplicado ao grupo de controlo, com os módulos de psicoterapia positiva e a terapia de reminiscências, aplicado ao grupo experimental. Participaram 6 idosas que foram divididas por ambos os grupos. O programa teve uma duração de 8 semanas, incluindo um momento inicial, um final e follow-up. Os instrumentos de avaliação psicológica selecionados foram o Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a Geriatric Anxiety Inventory, a Geriatric Depression Scale e a Satisfaction With Life Scale. Conclui-se que não existe evidência suficiente que demonstre uma diferença estatisticamente significativa do desempenho entre os grupos. Os resultados não comprovam que o efeito se deveu ao programa de módulos. No entanto, todas as participantes mostraram benefícios, tanto no desempenho cognitivo e na satisfação com a vida como na diminuição da sintomatologia ansiosa e depressiva.
