Cet article donne un aperçu général de ce livre qui présente une analyse approfondie de la notion de pensée critique et de ses rapports avec les pensées disciplinaires dans le contexte éducatifs. Les auteurs examinent la pensée critique dans ses différentes dimensions génériques et disciplinaires. Les auteurs mettent en avant la complexité et la variété des approches, en suggérant des pistes pour appliquer la pensée critique dans divers domaines éducatifs tels que la philosophie, le travail social, les sciences, les mathématiques, l'histoire, etc. Ils examinent également les défis liés à l'enseignement de cette pensée dans un contexte multiculturel, notamment en raison des différentes traditions culturelles et religieuses, tout en insistant sur l'importance d'une approche dialogique et critique permettant l’émancipation et la transformation sociale. Ils soulignent enfin l'importance de mener des recherches longitudinales pour mieux appréhender l'incidence des programmes de formation à la pensée critique. J'ai inclus mes observations sur les divers articles réunis dans ce livre.
