Abstract
[ES] El presente estudio examina la trayectoria del poder hegemónico de Estados Unidos a lo largo del siglo XXI, analizando los mandatos de sus cuatro presidentes y los eventos económicos y geopolíticos más significativos ocurridos durante sus administraciones. Estados Unidos inició el siglo XXI como la potencia global dominante, consolidando esta posición tras su industrialización, la acumulación de capital tras las Guerras Mundiales y el establecimiento del dólar como moneda de reserva mundial. Además, contaba con la confianza e instituciones sólidas para liderar el comercio internacional. Sin embargo, esta primacía ha sido desafiada por una serie de acontecimientos críticos. Desde los ataques del 11 de septiembre, hasta la crisis financiera de 2008 y la pandemia global, cada presidencia ha enfrentado desafíos que han puesto a prueba y, en ocasiones, mermado el poder hegemónico estadounidense. La acumulación de una creciente deuda nacional y la paulatina reubicación del poder industrial hacia otras potencias involucradas en el comercio internacional, notablemente China, sugieren la emergencia de un orden mundial multipolar. Estos indicadores son analizados como posibles señales de la reconfiguración del sistema internacional y la evolución de la influencia global de Estados Unidos
