À partir d’un corpus d’une quarantaine d’ouvrages publiés entre le milieu des années 1980 et la fin des années 2010, cette contribution propose un cadre d’analyse de la poétique de la prose postmigratoire belge. Au niveau auctorial et éditorial, celle-ci se caractérise par sa position périphérique dans le champ littéraire ; au niveau énonciatif, par sa dimension communautaire, même si cette dernière peut aussi être problématisée ; au niveau thématique, par la centralité du sujet de la migration et du personnage du migrant ; au niveau spatio-temporel et identitaire, par l’importance fondamentale des structures binaires qui peuvent toutefois aussi s’y trouver dépassées ; au niveau linguistique, par le plurilinguisme et l’interlinguisme ; au niveau historique, par son aspect testimonial ; au niveau générique, par son caractère autobiographique et autofictionnel ; au niveau du pace de lecture, par ses ambitions référentielles et didactiques. La conjonction de ces traits caractéristiques aboutit à une poétique reconnaissable du texte postmigratoire en prose.
