TITLE: Antivirals for Pandemic Influenza: A Review of the Clinical Effectiveness
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Pandemic influenza is defined as a new strain of influenza that spreads quickly globally. 1 The strain is carried and transmitted among humans, who have little or no immunity against, and it typically spreads by breathing droplets or direct contact with an infected human or contaminated surface. 1 Since 1997, influenza A (H5N1) viruses have been detected in poultry and isolated cases among humans. 2 As of June 2009, a total of 433 human cases have been confirmed in Asia and Africa. 3 The threat of a H5N1 influenza remains. 2 In March 2009, the H1N1 virus, a newly isolated strain of influenza A was identified. Following the June 2009 H1N1 influenza outbreak, the World Health Organization declared it a global pandemic, and H1N1 continues to spread around the world. 4 In Canada, amantadine and the neuraminidase inhibitors are available for the prophylaxis and treatment of influenza. Amantadine, however, is not active against influenza H5N1. 5 The neuraminidase inhibitors available in Canada include oseltamivir oral (Tamiflu®, Roche) and zanamivir inhalation (Relenza®, GlaxoSmithKline). 6-8 Oseltamivir is not approved for use in children under the age of one 9 and zanamivir is not approved for use in children less than seven years old. 10

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
