Abstract
Autorka rozprawy doktorskiej podjęła rozważania, czy na gruncie obowiązującego prawa występuje normatywny model udziału społeczeństwa w sprawach dotyczących organizmów genetycznie zmodyfikowanych, który pozwala zapewnić w dostatecznym stopniu ochronę wartości gwarantowanych zarówno na gruncie prawa międzynarodowego, prawa Unii Europejskiej, jak i Konstytucji RP z 1997 r., w tym m.in. prawa do zdrowia i życia, prawa do informacji, czy też dostępu do wymiaru sprawiedliwości, odzwierciedlonych następnie w postanowieniach ustaw zwykłych. W przypadku ewentualnego ustalenia, że takiego modelu nie ma, celem było podjęcie próby oceny, czy zasadne jest jego stworzenie i jakie winny być jego elementy. Aby określić normatywne składniki modelu udziału społeczeństwa w sprawach dotyczących GMO, niezależnie od uznania czy model ten już funkcjonuje, czy powinien być stworzony, zasadnym było rozważenie, jak taki model winien być zbudowany, i na jakich podstawach. W kontekście rozważań zawartych w niniejszej pracy, autorka przyjęła, że ów model normatywny powinien zapewnić uzyskanie, pożądanego w świetle podstawowych zasad prawa, poziomu świadomości społecznej w ochronie środowiska.
