Objectifs: Deux études portant sur la validité sociale du programme Muzhyp ont été réalisées dans deux contextes culturels différents. La première étude visait à évaluer sa validité sociale dans un contexte canadien. La deuxième étude consistait à évaluer sa validité sociale dans un contexte haïtien. Méthodologie: Nous avons effectué deux recherches mixtes: l’une impliquant 14 professionnelles de la santé de deux centres de santé au Québec et l’autre sept Haïtiens résidant à Montréal et ayant travaillé dans le milieu de la santé en Haïti. Ces participants ont rempli un questionnaire mesurant les trois critères de la validité sociale. Trois focus group ont été réalisés dont deux dans la première étude. Résultats: Les analyses de ces deux études ont montré que le programme répondait aux critères de la validité sociale. Les participants ont identifié les obstacles liés à son implémentation et les moyens de les résoudre. Conclusion: Ces études ont permis de recueillir des données riches sur la validité sociale de ce programme après son implémentation au Québec et avant sa réalisation en Haïti. Elles ont consolidé la perspective de mener une étude pilote qui mettra ce programme au service des personnes en Haïti qui sont très vulnérables et qui disposent très peu de ressources pour se soigner.
