Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This data package was created 2025-09-24 08:12:31 by NPSTORET and includes selected project, location, and result data. Data are from the Northern Colorado Plateau Network's Springs and Seeps database that was exported/converted into an NPS WQX Electronic Data Deliverable (EDD) for EQuIS. The EDD was also imported into NPSTORET to produce an NPSTORET version of the database named NCPN_SAS_NPSTORET_BE_20250922.ACCDB (NPSTORET back-end file). This NPSTORET version of the database was filtered to include the following data in the Data Package: Station: - Include Trip QC And All Station Visit Results Value Status: - Accepted or Certified (exported as Final) or Final The data package is organized into six data tables: - Projects.csv - describes the purpose and background of the monitoring efforts - Locations.csv - documents the attributes of the monitoring locations/stations - Results.csv - contains the field measurements, observations, and/or lab analyses for each sample/event/data grouping - HUC.csv - enumerates the domain of allowed values for 8-digit and 12-digit hydrologic unit codes utilized by the Locations data table - Characteristics.csv - enumerates the domain of characteristics available in NPSTORET to identify what was sampled, measured or observed in Results - Taxon.csv - enumerates the domain of taxa available in NPSTORET to identify the organism sampled for Results Period of record for filtered data is 1999-02-19 to 2024-11-20. This data package is a snapshot in time of one National Park Service project. The most current data for this project, which may be more or less extensive than that in this data package, can be found on the Water Quality Portal at: https://www.waterqualitydata.us/data/Result/search?project=NCPN_SAS&mimeType=csv&zip=yes&dataProfile=biological&providers=STORET

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
