El present treball es marca com a objectiu projectar el nombre d’habitatges destinats a polítiques socials obtinguts per diferents vies i determinar el pressupost públic associat per tal d'assolir l'objectiu de solidaritat urbana a Sant Feliu de Guíxols. La metodologia emprada pel càlcul del nombre d’habitatges socials nous a crear es basa en la proporció obtinguda de la projecció del total de municipis classificats com a àrees de demanda residencial forta i acreditada tipus 2, realitzada pel PTSH. En referència al pressupost aplicat per cada via d’obtenció dels habitatges, s’ha fet recerca de diferents fonts oficials, com de la Generalitat i de l’ajuntament del municipi estudiat, per tal d’aproximar al màxim els imports de despeses i finançaments a la realitat. Els resultats mostren, d’una banda, que l’ajuntament de Sant Feliu de Guíxols necessitarà afegir i modificar les aplicacions pressupostàries referents a l’habitatge social, tot i que existeixen tendències de millora aquest any. D’altra banda, l’ens local també haurà de dur a terme una gran inversió, especialment en la construcció d’habitatges de protecció oficial, per tal d’assolir l’objectiu de la solidaritat urbana
